Tulsi or Holy Basil is a member of the mint family. It features a purple stem with opposite leaves and racemes of white to purple blossoms. Historically Tulsi has been cherished throughout India for thousands of years. Ayurvedic texts describe the herb as a pillar of holistic herbal medicine, as well as a goddess incarnated in plant-form.
Today, in western herbalism Tulsi is considered as an apoptogenic herb and general overall tonic. It is know to help protect the heart from stress, can lower blood pressure and even cholesterol levels. It is also known to help with hay fever and asthma, as well as promoting healthy circulation.

How We Use
We like to use dried Tulsi to spruce up tea blends. It's also a great herb to add into oxymels or fire ciders, or even into infused honeys!
All of our dried herbs are locally grown in Jamesport, NY at our certified organic farm. We start each herb from seed or root cutting on farm, hand tend it until peak potency, then mindfully harvest. Next, each herb is small batch dried, processed, and bagged for sale.
